I’ve been interested in law since I was a kid. My first job was at my dad’s law firm.
Studying at the Prague “law” school was the obvious choice. After graduating (with a red diploma), I applied for admission to the Sorbonne Université Paris Descartes (Paris 5) (Faculty of Law), where I successfully completed two Master’s programmes – Master 1 in International and European Law and Master 2 in European Business Law, both with distinction. This was a follow-up to the 3 years I spent in Paris in primary school. During my studies, I was introduced to law practice as an associate in a prestigious Franco-German law firm, where I learned to work under pressure, exclusively in foreign languages (English, French and partly German) and with professionals by my side. Thanks to this experience, I gained valuable insight into the world of big law, but also into cases of a more private nature. These two years in the environment of Paris have given me, professionally and personally, not only the important ability to understand the way the French and their business partners act, but also the ability to meet even the most demanding professional requirements.
After graduation, I had the opportunity to stay in France and continue my work as a French lawyer. However, my relationship with my home country and my family background brought me back home. Here, I worked successively in three of the most prestigious Czech law firms, where I gained extensive experience in solving the most complex cases in more than 10 years of practice. During these years, I have learned that in addition to broad legal knowledge in my chosen fields, one of my great strengths is my ability to communicate clearly with clients, to explain even complex legal issues in a way that they can understand, i.e. to explain to clients an often very impersonal area of law.
In addition to my law practice, I have lectured many times on selected legal topics, both in academia, at colloquia (conferences, seminars) of national and international associations, and for selected groups of employees of national and multinational companies (e.g. A series of lectures on various topics related to the New Civil Code, “Unfair practices within distribution networks”, “The future of autonomous driving and electric vehicles”, “Compensation”, “Criminal liability of legal entities”, “Compliance procedures within the company”, “Law and marketing”, etc.). I have also repeatedly published in professional Czech and foreign publications. I am involved in the Lawyers to Schools project and introduce the basics of law and the world of finance to the youngest schoolchildren.
My principles are courtesy, honesty, professional service, human and personal approach to the client. I guarantee you that.
